Jet lag is simply the stress induced by your body readjusting to a new time zone . This includes tiredness, irritabilty, mood changes and lack of concentration.
Long distance travel can be exhausting causing these disturbance for several days.
There is a few strategies that can help-
Try slowly adjusting your sleep pattern over a few days before you travel, avoid alcohol and stay hydrated when travelling and once you arrive immediatly adopt the local time,even if it feels unnatural eating and sleeping on this new schedule.
Spending time in natural light in ther morning if travelled east or in the evening if travelled west, this can help your body naturally adapt to your new time zone.
To aid this a prescription medicine called melatonin may help.
